Enterprise Minister Jonathan Bell has announced Belfast based creative agency Pale Blue Dot is taking on five new staff as part of an ambitious growth strategy. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £37,500 of support for the new jobs which will see the company increase its workforce to 11 staff in the next 18 months. Bell Announces £1.5million Deal for Mackle Petfoods

Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Jonathan Bell today announced Dungannon based Mackle Petfoods, has signed a deal to supply its Naturo petfood product to Dutch supermarket giant Albert Heijn. Welcoming the deal, estimated to be worth £1.5million over the next two years, Jonathan Bell said: “Mackle Petfoods Naturo range was launched in the UK and Ireland in 2013 and the deal being announced here will now see the product on the shelves of 200 Albert Heijn stores in the Netherlands. “One of my core priorities is to help local businesses grow and develop through export success and innovation. 80 New Jobs Announced By Hutchinson Group In £4million Investment

Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister, Jonathan Bell has announced Hutchinson Group’s plans to create 80 new jobs at its Kilrea and Antrim sites as part of a £4.1million investment. The plans, which are supported by Invest Northern Ireland, include recruiting additional skilled staff and purchasing new state of the art technology to allow Hutchinson to target new high value business in the automotive, aerospace and materials handling sectors. Pharmaceutical company Alexion are creating 200 new jobs in West Dublin. Alexion are investing €450 million to expand their facilities at College Park near Blanchardstown. Alexion is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and delivering life-transforming therapies for patients with severe and life-threatening rare diseases. The companies global supply chain and quality operations facility is based in Ireland. Irish-based company Eishtec are creating 320 new customer service jobs in Craigavon, Co Armagh. ‘Eishtec is an outsourced contact centre providing tailored solutions to businesses,’ that focus on customer support. During the next three years, they’ll be hiring up to 320 staff for a new centre opening in Northern Ireland. Eishtec already have offices in Wexford and Waterford, employing nearly 1,100 staff. EU-USA trade deal could result in 10,000 jobs for Ireland

A possible deal between the European Union and America could result in 10,000 new jobs for Ireland. The sector most likely to see the greatest increase, if the deal goes through, is the export sector. Reports suggest that if the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is agreed upon, the Irish economy is forecast to have a 1.1% improvement. The TTIP will increase the export sector for three to five years, almost double what any other European Union country can expect.
